Bringing a Voice to Gettysburg Wargame

7/2/2019

And now for something completely different… sort of…

I wanted to share with you all a really fun project that I got the privilege to be a part of. For a good long while now, one of my passions has been wargaming. Specifically Historical wargaming. I love all genres and time periods, but for me, WWI air combat and Napoleonic land wars and Naval actions are where it is at. I have been a collector and some-times player of these war-games for a number of years now. To this end, I have gotten into the hobby side of making terrain and things to really up the ante on my games. YouTube has given me many great sources for materials to study in regards to the hobby side of this pursuit.

This brings me to stumbling upon LittleWarsTV. It is a YouTube channel that a war-game club in Pennsylvania started a while back and I was instantly hooked on their videos for After Action Reports, rules reviews, tutorials, etc. I loved the production quality that these hobbyists put into their videos, the personalities that they shared, and the fun way they presented the games. I felt like I was right there in the club with them. So I reached out. I asked if they had any use for a narrator for their videos. To my pleasant surprise, they said maybe! Turns out, they did have a gig in mind for me.

So I wanted to share with you all my first (but hopefully not my last) vocal appearance on LittleWarsTV for their epic Battle of Gettysburg played ON LOCATION! Thanks to all of the folks at LittleWarsTV for letting me be a part of something fun and really special. I hope there are many more opportunities to share with you all. If you like wargaming, or just enjoy history, go check out there other videos. They are well worth your time. Enjoy!
